NotesNews - When one has upset the Argentinians and been lauded by the Falkland islanders, it provides a moment of relief to be able to talk to the penguins. One is assured of a large and attentive audience. The Prince of Wales, on his official visit to the South Atlantic, briefly escaped the politics of sovereignty during a tour of Sea Lion Island, the most southerly inhabited of the Falklands, with a resident population of 40,000 penguins, 3,500 sea lions, 50 bull elephant seals, a Yorkshireman and his wife.
