NotesNews : The Foreign Office is warning Serb military planners, including the Yugoslav President, Slobodan Milosevic, that they could face charges at the International War Crimes Tribunal for the atrocities committed in Kosovo. the threat follows discussions last week between Foreign Secretary robin Cook and Gabrielle Kirk McDonald, president of the tribunal which is based in The Hague. Plans for military intervention were stepped up after the internationaloutrage last week at massacres of ethnic Albanian civilians and the failure of Serbia to observe UN resolutions concerning Kosovo. the State Department warned US citizens to stay waay or leave Serbia and Montenegro, the two Yugoslav republics that may soon be attacked by Nato planes.
