NotesNews : The Prince of Wales is not contemplating an early divorce, but even if he does eventually end his failed marriage he does not see it as an impediment to the throne. In the much publicised but still unusually revealing documentary on ITV last night to mark the 25th anniversary of his investiture at Caernarvon in 1969, hte Prince laid much of the blame for the failure of his own and other marriages within his family at the door of intolerable media pressure. The two and a half hour film, Charles : The Private Man, The Public Role, made with the orinces full co-operation was largely given over to a serious and favourable portrait of his many good works.
