Notes | News : Britain suggested yesterday that Turkey should join its western allies in urging all sides in Bosnia to accept present proposals for a settlement, as Douglas Hurd, the Foreign Secretary, prepared to tour the conflict zones with commanders of the United Nations forces. At the start of two days of intesnsive talks in Ankora, which will be dominated by the war in the former Yugoslavian Republic...Mr Hurd made it clear that there was no question of a unilateral withdrawal from Bosnia this spring. He also told the warring factions however that if they fail to make progress at peace talks and continue blocking United Nation's aid convoys, allied forces may withdraw at the end of winter.
