NotesNews : The reformist credentials of the Russian government were in doubt last night after Boris Fyodorov, the Finance Minister followed Yegar Gaidar into the political wilderness saying that he would not be joining the new cabinet. The sudden exits from the government of M Gaidar, Mr Fyodorov and Ella Pamfilove, the Social Security minister have caused a mood of conflict in the Yeltsin camp. Russia's choice, the main democratic block whose poor electoral showing under Mr Gaigar's leadership precipitated the crisis has supported the decision of liberal Ministers to go, a development which fuelled rumours that reformist deputies intended to use the movement as a rallying point for My Yeltsin's change of priorities.
