NotesNews: 6 Dec: Miss Merilyn Lamb was claiming damages for injuries she received when her arm was mauled by four tigers at the private zoo of Mr John Aspinall. Mr James Chipperfield, a member of the circus family, told the court that it was great temptation for people to put their hands into cages containing big cats. If he saw one of his keepers put a hand into a lion or tiger cage from the outside he would dismiss him.
