NotesNews (10th October) The Conservative Party Conference was held in Blackpool.
News (9th Oct) Two years after British Prime Minister Harold Wilson and Rhodesian Prime Minister Ian Smith held talks on board HMS Tiger, when the Rhodesian Front found the Six Principles of the proposed settlement unacceptable, the two leaders were to meet on board H.M.S. Fearless in Gibraltar for more negotiations.
