NotesNews: "Hague: Atlantic Bridge 'not a sinister organisation' William Hague has said he does not think that the Atlantic Bridge group was a "sinister organisation" after newspaper allegations about the group's links with senior politicians on both sides of the Atlantic.
Speaking on The Andrew Marr Show, the foreign secretary also admitted that he met former Defence Secretary Liam Fox's friend Adam Werritty "only in passing, I think, as shadow foreign secretary." Dr Fox resigned as defence secretary last week after speculation about his links with Mr Werritty, who had joined him on trips abroad. Mr Werritty had previously worked for Fox's Atlantic Bridge group, an organisation that promoted Anglo-American relations. A dispute with the Charity Commission over its overtly-political aims saw the organisation wound up last year." BBC News
