Embedded text or transcriptATLANTIC BOAT-RACE The public is so dissatisfied with the slap-dash conducting
of the "Queen Mary"-"Normandie" speed contest that a movement is afoot to settle the matter
annually in the proper style. In-out in-out. Judges. MR. BALDWIN'S HOLIDAY Mr. Baldwin is
to stay at Blickling Hall, which has a ghost of Anne Boleyn drawn in a carriage by headless
horses. He should get on well with it, being quite used to the company of people with no
heads. PESTS CORNER Foreign black rats are said to be exterminating the British brown
variety. The black rats deny this and are to hold a meeting at the Albert Hall to put their
case. WATER CRISIS Use less water Since we have now had 3 fine days running, the annual
rally of the Water Authorities may be expected at any moment. Gad, sir, Hitler is right.
Children of 5 must join up at once to make the world safe for posterity. DEEP RUMBLE FROM
