NotesNews: General Franco, accompanied by his Foreign Minsiter, Senor Suner, conferred with Mussolini on Feb. 12 at Bordighera, on the Italian Riviera. It was widely believed in the foreign press that a primary cause of the meeting was the new situation created in the Mediterranean by the Italian debacle in Libya. In London there was, it was thought, no reason to believe that General Franco had agreed to any startling change in Spanish policy.... [Keesing's Contemporary Archives p.4464]
