The consequences of Mussolini's occupation of Albania deepended today when, at an emergency meeting of the House of Commons, the Prime Minister pledged that Britain would go to the aid of Greece and Rumania in resisting any threat to their independence. An identical pledge was given simultaneously by the French. [Chronicle of the 20th Century]
