North Africa: Rommel's forces, which were about 70 miles W. of El Agheila, were bombed in a day-long series of attacks by the R.A.F. and U.S.A.A.F., causing much damage and confusion among the closely-packed enemy columns; at one place near "Marble Arch" blazing vehicles caused a traffic block which disorganised the retreat for many hours; negligible enemy air opposition (1 Me. 109 shot down) ... He wanted to establish a New Order of absolute rule in Europe and pursued a policy of seizing land by force for the Aryan people.
