NotesFO0108-139: Tower of London adventure - Helping London workmen, Flook and Rufus are led to follow a lost coin into a sewer pipe and are trapped. They discover a villain intent on completing Guy Fawkes's plans, but his explosion occurs by mistake below the Tower, into which the two descend on a Flook-parachute. Beefeaters chase them, assuming misdemeanours, but while disguised as a knight and his charger they encounter real Crown Jewel thieves, whom they capture. While they are feasted as a reward, Flook changes in passing into a boar's head. He also exchanges heads with one of the period ghosts who try to disturb the friends night in the Tower. A final reward is five shillings from the Keeper. Artwork not dated, date taken from an old catalogue. Pin holes in borders, sections of text pasted on.
