On Jan. 30, the 10th anniversary of Hitler's accession to power - which was not celebrated, as in former years, by the display of flags or other demonstrations owing to the situation on the Eastern Front - Goring made the following broadcast to the German poeple from the Ceremonial Hall of the Air Ministry in Berlin. ... What would our position have been if the Fuhrer, in his political genuius, had not clearly realised the Russian danger? He gained support for his views on German nationalism, anti-Semitism, anti-capitalism and anti-communism through his impassioned speeches and propaganda. He wanted to establish a New Order of absolute rule in Europe and pursued a policy of seizing land by force for the Aryan people.
