NotesNews: Hitler-Ciano-Laval Meetings. It was officially announced in Berlin on Dec. 20 that Ciano, accompanied by Marshal Cavallero, had had discussions with Hitler in the latter's G.H.Q., Goring, Ribbentrop and Marshal Keiter being also present. The communique was as follows: "On Dec. 18 and 19 the Fuhrer had discussion on all questions affecting the common prosecution of the war by Germany and Italy. The meeting was held in the spirit of the determined will of the Axis Powers to make every effort to secure final victory. Complete agreement was reached on all political and military questions. The unshakeable friendship and brotherhood in arms of the Fuhrer and Duce and their two nations gave the discussions with Count Ciano and Marshal Cavallero particular cordiality" ...
