Sr. Suner on Spanish Interest in Azores and Cape Verdes. - Threat to U.S.A. ...Sr. Suner, Spanish Foreign Minister, in a statement to the Rome paper "Messaggero" at the end of July, said that Spain "could not remain indifferent in the event of an Anglo-American occupation of the Azores and Cape Verde Island"; that Europe would become self-sufficing after the "totalitarian victory over Bolshevist Russia"; that further U.S. intervention would "still further consolidate the unity of European nations in the struggle against Bolshevism"; and that Eire, Portugal and France would be "compelled to oppose the aggressor from the other continent" and he be drawn into the war against Britain and her allies. ... He served as German chancellor from 1933-1945 and head of state (Fuhrer) from 1934-1945. He established a single-party dictatorship based on the totalitarian and autocratic ideals of national socialism. He gained support for his views on German nationalism, anti-Semitism, anti-capitalism and anti-communism through his impassioned speeches and propaganda. He wanted to establish a New Order of absolute rule in Europe and pursued a policy of seizing land by force for the Aryan people.
