NotesJuly 5th - Food Plans - Plans for the Reception Areas. - Describing the plans for food supplies in the reception areas in the House of Commons on July 5, Mr W.S. Morrison stated that emergency supplies, consisting of canned meat, tinned milk, biscuits and chocolate are held available by the Food (Defence Plans) Department for persons included in the official evacuation scheme. These supplies are sufficient for their maintenance for a period of two days, after which normal supplies will be made available in those areas through the normal channels of trade.
