NotesNotes : Figures to be mocked more than feared, Hitler and Goering are shown as prisoners - Goering cramped by drug addiction, and Hitler tied to business interests supporting the National Socialist Party. At this time it was easy to regard the top Nazi's as puppets, manipulated by forces more powerful than them in Germany. [p.98, David Low by Colin Seymour-Ure and Jim Schoff, Secker & Warburg, 1985]
