NotesNews: "Parliament David Cameron suffered his largest Commons rebellion since coming to power after 91 Tory MPs opposed coalition plans to reform the House of Lords into a mainly elected chamber. Labour's backing for the proposals meant the government still won the vote with a majority of 338. The deputy prime minister, Nick Clegg, called the result a "huge triumph" but it came after ministers ditched a vote to limit time for debating the bill amid signs they would be defeated. There were reports of an angry confrontation between Cameron and one of the rebel leaders, Jesse Norman, on Tuesday night. The prime minister was said to have approached his MP outside the division lobbies and accused him of not behaving "honourably"." Sunday Times
