NotesNews: 30 Jan: Mr Anthony Crosland, a former Labour Cabinet minister, said he would return to the trustee in bankruptcy a coffee pot which it was said at the Poulson bankruptcy hearing was a gift from Mr Poulson. In a letter thanking Mr Poulson for the coffee pot, estimated by Mr Poulson to have cost about £100, Mr Crosland said: "I tremble to think how much it cost. I shall treasure it as a memory of a very beautiful building." Mr Poulson said he often gave presents to public figures at the opening of new buildings he had designed.
