NotesNews: 16 Jan: Andy Warhol talked to David Bailey in the first long British TV documentary of his life and factory scheduled to be shown on ITV.
News: 17 Jan: The Court of Appeal banned the screening of the film about Andy Warhol four hours before it was due to be broadcast. Callers protesting at the ban jammed the telephone lines to the IBA and Thames television.
News: 18 Jan: Mr Ross McWhirter, who won a temporary injunction to stop the televising of the controversial film about Mr Andy Warhol, explained that he had acted not from prudish or censorial motives but from a solitary passion for the rule of law.
