News: 15 Dec: Apollo 17 was the last of the American spacecraft to land on the moon. Whilst on the moon astronaut Captain Cernan picked up a rock and said: "We'd like to share pieces of this rock with many countries of this world in the hope this will be a symbol of what our feeling are, what the feelings of the Apollo programme are, and a symbol of mankind that we can live in peace and harmony in the future".
