NotesNews: 24 May: Mr Heath planned to give a full account of his talks in Paris with President Pompidou to the Cabinet. He would also discuss the strategy to be employed in the House on the anti-marketeers. Mr Heath had managed to convince Pompidou of his own, the Government's and the country's "Europeanisation" now he had to convince dissident Tories, the Opposition and the country that the terms for entry into the Common Market were right.
