NotesNews: 25 November: British Road Services strike may affect Christmas parcels (The Times Page 1 col d) News: 26 November: Lennon gives MBE back to the Queen. John Lennon returned his MBE "with love" to the Queen and Harold Wilson. The letters read "I am returning this MBE in protest against Britain's involvement in the Nigeria-Biafra thing, against our support of America in Vietnam, and against Cold Turkey slipping down the charts." They were written on the notepaper of Bag Productions, the company owned by Lennon and Ono. [Daily Sletch]
