NotesNews (22nd April) The Prince of Wales began his first day at Aberystwyth College. News: Russian forces continued to occupy Czechoslovakia. (The Times Index, March-April 1969) News (20th April) British troops were called in to guard key installations in Northern Ireland against firebombers who struck nine Belfast post offices and the city's main bus station. Also, explosions occurred which damaged Belfast's main reservoir causing serious water shortages. (Chronicle of the 20th Century, p. 997)
