NotesNews (24th Sept) Price increases for chocolate were forecast. News (23rd Sept) Russia's Zond 5 spacecraft, an automated version of their 1967 manned Soyuz spacecraft, was recovered after a flight around the moon. This was the first recovery of a spacecraft from a lunar mission and the Russian success helped to advance the U.S. Apollo programme. News (23rd Sept) Ford Motor Co. workers threatened a protest over strikes at the Vauxhall Girling factory. (The Times Index, Sept-Oct 1968)
